March 7th ended a two week competition between the children’s Sunday school classes at Mighty Fortress Community Church to raise donations for Crisis Pregnancy Center and Family Care Center’s Rescue Mission in Rock Island. The hard work from these seven to fourteen year-olds resulted in approximately $750 worth of donations that they used to purchase supplies from stores like Vintage Baby, Walmart, and Dollar Tree.

 The Mighty Warriors and QUEST Sunday School Classes had been learning about the importance of putting others before themselves and doing random acts of kindness. This donation drive provided them an opportunity to put what they learned into action. Attached are pictures from the donation results. We are proud of their hard work!

Positive changes are coming for Sunday Mornings! As we continue to review the effectiveness of our programs, we’ve decided to end the FaithWeaver Sunday School Class. March will be a month of transition as we prepare for the opening of “Holy Grounds Café” on Sunday, April 11th.

This ‘coffee hour’ will have a comfortable, coffee-house feel, offering a relaxed time of fellowship.
It will house a small library of resources that can be borrowed to read and study for spiritual growth, parenting helps, and other topics. We thank you for your patience as we make these changes.
