Design… Creativity… Teamwork… Cooperation…. Attitude…
These are just some of the things each team of four was judged on as they created their masterpieces from cake, frosting, and many other decorative options.
For each team of four people, the team captain selected a category from a list. The “cupcake” category meant that Team Cindy had to construct a cake related to coffee/tea cups or pots.
The deceptively named “cheesecake” category was not related to delicious cheesecake as we know it. Team Leslie had to create a cake that looked like some form of cheese.
For Team Katy, the “Birthday Cake” category simply was a cake intended for a child’s birthday - either character or other child related theme.
Finally, in the “sheet cake” category, Team Tasha had to design a cake related to either sheet music or sheets, as in a bedroom related theme.
This was a fun activity, demonstrating the need for working together, compromise, and cooperation—all necessary in building not just a winning cake, but more importantly, a winning marriage.
